MY GOD IS MIGHTY TO SAVE!!

SAVED FROM MEN OF THE UNDERWORLD!

On August 20th 2006, I went to a Redeemed Christian Church to pick up a friend. Whilst waiting by the roadside, I got out of my car to use the nearby toilet. There was a young man who came to use the toilet at the same time as me. Just as I was returning and about to open the door of my car, I saw 2 guns pointed to my head from my left and right, and a 3rd gun pointed at me from my back. The very guy who pointed the gun behind me was the same guy that had come into the toilet with me.

They asked me to get into the car, which I initially hesitated to do and they were almost pulling the trigger. At that moment, my Mum’s picture just flashed before me and I agreed to enter the car with them. They asked me to bow my head throughout the duration of the drive. I had nothing to say in those moments but was just speaking in tongues under my breath. I noticed that the more I did, the more they argued amongst themselves, and so I continued.

We went to a forest area and they asked me to come down gently without looking at their faces, but they still pointed their guns at me. Before they asked me to get out of the car, to my shock they apologized, and said they needed to take care of something and that I was going to get my car back, that I should trust them. They asked for my phone and asked me to call them (my phone line) by 7pm that day, and they would tell me where to find the car. They asked if I had some money with me to go home on public transport.

I found my way out of the forest and contacted the nearest police station. Around 7:45pm, I called them (my phone line) and they told me exactly where to find the car and then switched off the line. The next day, with a team of police officers, we went to the area where they said we would find the car but it wasn’t there. A nearby police division asked us to come and see some vehicles they had recovered.

Well, when we got there, we saw my car and we were taken to the office of the Divisional Head who asked me how much money I left in the car. When I told him, he laughed at the pennies, for I had left less than £1, but the police had found the equivalent of over £2000 in the car. The officers said they suspected these men were part of a gang that had robbed several gas stations on that day. Why the thieves left such an amount there, I will never know. The police stated that they could not recover the other car which was parked alongside mine as that car had fallen into a big ditch next to it.

To the glory of God, I came out of that ordeal, unscratched and with my life. I am only forever grateful to God that He saw me through unhurt to testify of His mercies. Especially when I think of the fact that weeks before this incident, I had just come out of a car crash from which God had saved me. Every time I think about the ordeal, I am just absolutely in awe of the awesomeness of God, because God didn’t allow any of them to pull the trigger in those moments, nor did they handle me roughly throughout the time I spent with them. I am eternally grateful to God beyond words!

IRON IN THE BODY DIVINELY TAKEN OUT.

The Shiloh gathering is a yearly programme organized by the Living Faith Church in Nigeria. During the programme, a brother came up and shared his testimony of deliverance from a pain which had lasted for years due to an operation he had had.

He said at the operation, they had put a piece of metal or iron inside of him, as that was the only way he could stand and walk again. However, this iron had caused continuous excruciating pain over time. After several different attempts, the doctors told him that he would have to live with it. Accordingly to him, he was convinced Jesus could do something about it as he couldn’t imagine living his life that way.

He said, one night he had a dream and a man appeared in the dream and took something out of his body. When he awoke, he noticed his body felt very strange. Getting up from his bed that night, he walked differently, feeling no pain as he went to use the toilet. It was on his return that he found a piece of iron just by the side of his bed. In validating his testimony, he said he went back to the same doctor who carried out tests, and later confirmed that there was indeed no iron object in his body!

HEALED OF CANCER.

My wife’s former Christian colleague never knew she had cancer until she fell unwell a few years ago. After some tests, they broke the sad news to her. It was a trying time for her and her family. They were shaken to the core. but God showed up through the ordeal and in the end she was declared cancer free, and remains so, until now. Prayers were being offered from left, right and centre. She clearly knew in those moments, it was only God that was going to rescue her or nothing else and she held onto Him and His Word. I understand she went through various treatments during the time and even some series of chemo as well. According to the doctors, there was little hope, the chances were slim, but God came through in the end and healed her!

I sincerely pray that no matter the impossible situation any of them may find themselves in, the one who makes a way where there seems to be no way, will show up right on time for them in Jesus name… Amen!
