Trusting the Heavenly Father
By Helen Jesze, 12th November 2021
When I was growing up, my mother had a little plaque with the above poem and pictures of a robin and a sparrow on it. The other day I came across this poem again, and would like to share it with you. It has only two verses, yet contains an enormous truth. The birds could not understand why human beings are constantly anxious and rush about, and thought perhaps the reason was that they did not have a Heavenly Father!

In the cares and challenges of Life, it is all too easy to look at circumstances and mountains that face us; it seems we are going down ‘dead-end street’, with no way out! But nothing could be further from the truth! We have forgotten again that we have a Heavenly Father who daily showers his bountiful care upon us, and has answers and solutions for our problems!
So let me encourage you today, and remind myself, that we can find Peace and assurance, as we learn to trust this Heavenly Father. If he cares for Nature, birds and animals he has created, how much more will he care for you and me – for we are of more value than them in his sight, as Matthew 6: 26 tells us!
