Never Alone!

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you or forsake you,”
Because of some recent difficult painful circumstances in my life, when I was in prayer, the Lord reminded me of something I experienced in the 1990’s. At that time, something I thought would never happen, had indeed happened, and I felt weighed down with grief and depression. As I sat at the piano, trying to worship the Lord, with hot tears running down my face, He gave me the following song, and I would like to share the words with you today:
You’re not alone when in the fiery furnace,
You’re not alone when you’re in the lion’s den.
You’re not alone when it seems your heart is broken
He’ll make you whole, cause you to sing again.
You’re not alone when all around you crumbles,
You’re not alone when friends just turn away.
You’re not alone when darkness closes round you,
He’ll change your world and turn your night to day.
You’re not alone when facing your Goliath,
The God of David’s still alive today.
The stone of Faith will reach its destination
Bring down the giant, give you the victory!
For Jesus said, I’ll never, never leave you.
I’ll not forsake my child who is so dear.
On the Father’s hand your name is clearly written,
When you don’t feel me, still I am so near!
Peace like a river, Peace like a river
You have commanded, you have demanded
That my peace be like a river.
Amid the storms, amid the thorns
That wound my feet along the pathway,
You have commanded, you have demanded
Peace for me, Peace for me.
And my peace is in YOU, Lord, Not in the things around.
My peace is in YOU, Lord, such peace that nowhere can be found.
You are the Prince of Peace, you are the light, the joy upon my way,
My peace is in YOU, Lord, giving me faith and hope
For each new day, for each new day!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, touch our hearts at this moment with
your resurrection, restoring, healing power! Give us a new
revelation that those words are not just a mental phrase, but a
living truth that in every circumstance you are with us and you
cover us from the onslaughts of satan and people. Wrap us
around with your eternal Presence like a warm blanket on a
cold night, and whisper your comfort to our hearts. Prince of
Peace, we draw near to you again; thank you for new faith, new
hope, a lifting up of our head and a new spring in our step, for
you are working to make all things new, as we again put our
trust in you! Agape Love, fill every heart, in Jesus’ Name!
Amen.
