Dear devotionalsjust4u!! Friends,

I have not been in touch for a few weeks. I was ill and then my beloved husband, George, after many health struggles for several years took a turn for the worse. I am nursing him at home, now with carers and End of Life nurses. He has not been eating for a few days and drinking just a little. The doctor said today that if he cannot eat or drink, he will only be with us for possibly 7-10 days. He is peaceful, is mentally clear some of the time and has no pain. Sometimes he will praise the Lord (especially loves to say, “O Glory!”), and 2 days ago we were singing some of the anointed “oldies” together.

Please pray that in these last days of his life here on Earth he will know he is carried in the arms of Jesus, and have a peaceful, joyous entry into his heavenly home. Also for me for strength, wisdom, comfort and protection at this time. Some friends who have known about his condition have emailed some words to him, about what he personally or his ministry has meant to them. Please do not telephone as I have many calls, but if you wish to email, please do. I appreciate your prayers, love and support. Others, who knew nothing, got in touch, saying the Lord had laid us on their heart. How good the Lord is and how special is His great family!

It is a great comfort and help to me to have our son, his wife, with our grandchildren living not far away. Our daughter lives in New Zealand and we did a WhatsApp video call with her, which was very special. Our eldest son also lives abroad.

We are approaching Passover and Easter, the time when our precious Saviour bled and died for our sins, and rose again to break every curse off our lives. I wish you a blessed time, although most of us will be having online services and this year is very different than usual. Let us all reach out to Jesus in a new way and emerge from this current world situation having come closer to Him, with a deeper relationship and knowledge of his will for our lives.

United in the love of Jesus,

Helen Jesze
