Dear devotionalsjust4u!! Friends,
Today has been “Good Friday”, as we say in English. We are often in Germany and they call this day “Karfreitag”. This comes from an old-fashioned word which means mournful. It was a dark, sad day when the disciples and all those who had loved Jesus — mourned, after seeing Him hung on a cross. It seemed as though the dream had been shattered and the nightmare had begun.
SO “Karfreitag” is accurate to describe this Day BUT it is also accurate to call it “GOOD FRIDAY”, for we can look back at history and know that the greatest thing that could ever come to Mankind — God’s Lamb, Jesus was offered as the supreme sacrifice for sin for us, YET He rose again, bringing ultimate GOOD for all who will believe!
Today I have not written a Devotional, but want to share again with you the terribly graphic but wonderful slideshow I shared with you last year. Click here to download
Be blessed and may it came afresh to us all as we watch it, that he did it because He loved you so much!
If you have never done this, open your heart to this Saviour now. Let His blood wash every sin away, and as you receive Him, he will give you the right to become a Child of God!
Easter blessings to you all!
