The Message of the Passport!

“Fear not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will shew to you today…”

Exodus 14, 13a

Sometimes the Lord gives me what seem to be prophetic dreams. In this one from 2018 I saw myself in an airport lounge, waiting to fly to USA on a ministry trip. I was travelling alone and some friends had come to see me off.

Soon it was time for me to say “Goodbye” and go through Security, so I looked in my handbag for my documents, but could not find my passport. I searched all through the handbag several times but without success. I jumped up and said, “I’ve got to get a taxi and go home again! I must have left my passport there!”

I was in a panic, knowing there was no time to go home and get back for my flight. Just before I ran towards the waiting taxis, the thought came strongly to me,”Don’t run anywhere! Look again!” Although I had looked so many times, I put my hand in my bag again and just near the top, there was my passport, almost sticking out! Then I heard the message:

“The thing you are searching for is far nearer than you think!”

I woke up with this strong in my spirit. What are you searching for today, Friend? Have you looked all over, got in a panic and are about to run off at a tangent in a direction where God has not told you? Stand still and wait for the Lord’s direction, the answer may be in a totally unexpected place, perhaps even where you have looked before. Perhaps it had not been God’s timing for you to find that thing, that person, but He will reveal it to you in His time and way. Or perhaps you were not able to discern what the Lord was trying to show or give you before, but now the answer is about to break upon you, and is far nearer than you could have dreamed! Thank you, Jesus, the answer’s on the way!
