To GOD Be The GLORY!

To GOD Be The GLORY!

“… If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Exodus 15:26-27 KJV

On the 4th August 2022, it was our Wedding Anniversary and we were walking down the main street in Llandudno, Wales. I fell and injured my left hip and ended up in the middle of the road, with all the traffic stopped. Someone wanted to call an ambulance, but I shouted to Mark, my husband, who had managed to get to the other side of the road. He rushed over and I asked him to please pick me up.

As best we could, we managed to get to the place we’d booked for lunch. Seeing there was a problem they were helpful, and brought an ice pack for my hip. The meal was excellent, and with help we got home. The following day it was obvious something was not right so an ambulance was called. They came and picked me up and on the way there, they were apologising for the possible delay we could have at the hospital. But when we arrived, there was a bed in Accident & Emergency and one in the Orthapaedic ward available. The ambulance folk were shocked, as they couldn’t remember this happening before.

In the next three hours I had X-rays and three different diagnoses. One said no fracture, one made me get me up and walk. Another said it was broken. I prayed asking the Lord for help, and when I opened my eyes, another doctor was at the bed side. She advised me to ask for a CT scan in the morning. Could I do that? I answered, “ Yes”.

I was transferred to a room next to the ward. Two surgeons arrived almost immediately, one drew a sketch of what she would do to the hip, she was lovely. The next morning another surgeon arrived with his drawing of what he would do. I had already signed the papers for an operation, so I asked for a CT scan. The CT scan showed no fracture. My surgeon was a very passionate woman. She told me I would have to have an MRI scan, for she said she was not going to operate if there was nothing wrong. But they, the powers that be did not want to do it because of the cost! This surgeon wouldn’t take no for an answer. I believe the Lord was using her to fight my corner, for on the 4th day in hospital I did have that MRI scan.

Afterwards the surgeons came and informed me I had a hairline break on the left femur and a hairline fracture on the ball –- the head of the femur bone. I was prompted by the Holy Spirit to ask one of the surgeons, if he knew of anyone being healed without the operation. To my utter suprise he said, YES. I asked him if he knew anybody that had been healed, and he said, YES, to this too. He knew I was a person of faith, so I now had another option. The operation was to be at 9am the following morning, and he said to me, “ If you are eating your breakfast in the morning, you are going home and no operation”.

That night I asked the nurse if they had any place where I could go and pray. Within 30 minutes he came and wheeled me into it, and I prayed for about 45 minutes, but received no answer. I was wheeled back to bed; I knew the Lord was with me, and asked Him for clarity. Just after 5am I woke to find another surgeon by my bedside, he told me his name was Mr Aaron. He had my attention right away, and said If I had not had the MRI scan they would never have found it. I was once again prompted by the Holy Spirit to ask him if he had ever heard of anyone being healed of this without the operation. Again to my suprise he said YES. I asked if he knew them and he said, YES.

I told him he was the answer to my prayer, he was my second witness to this, and in the mouth of two or three witnesses a thing is established. He told me it would take 8- 12 weeks to heal, and I needed to take great care. Later on in the morning the surgeon came round, saw me eating breakfast, and said, “You are going home, and no operation!” Later that day I left hospital on crutches. Within 30 minutes of arriving home, our neighbour across the lane drove round with a wheel-chair, and a three- wheel walker frame for me to use.

This experience taught me WE HAVE NOT, because we ASK NOT. GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST! My level of Trust in HIM is overwhelming. Now over a year later, I am totally healed. THANK YOU JESUS!
